Grandma's Dahi Vada Recipe
Here’s the first video on GranChan, our ‘grandparent channel’, which celebrates pearls of wisdom, recipes, remedies, life-hacks and home crafts by grandmas and grandpas from all over the world!
Hilda Saldanha, or ‘Nana’ as her two grandkids Lauren and Tyler call her, makes her YouTube debut at 67, with a savoury teatime snack recipe. It’s ‘dahi vada’ from India, which Hilda conjures up with gusto while sharing clever cooking hacks that only a grandma who’s done it a thousand times can.
Quick, easy and downright delicious, it’s the kind of thing you can fix in a jiffy. And if you’d like to see your favourite grandparent featured, get in touch!
